My passion has always been sports motivated. I was a gymnast for the Un of South Carolina (Go Cocks!). I also surfed, skied, swam competitively, golfed and played tennis most of my life and I have done 2 triathlons after age 60! Staying strong has always been important to me so I could enjoy the many activities in my life. I have never stopped trying to stay strong and consider myself a “work in progress”.
I started in the fitness industry in 1979! Before there was a gyn on every street and staying in shape meant taking a walk and playing sports. I managed gyms, taught multiple different classes, and had my own TV show “Fitness Finesse with Karen”!
For my clients, I believe in training the entire body from the inside out. Nutrition, strength, flexibility and balance are all part of a complete program to develop the greatest potential of gaining strength and avoiding weakness and disease. It is scientifically proven that exercise and proper nutrition can delay or prevent injury, disease and create a healthy and active lifestyle.
I have been with Fitness 24/7 for two years and look forward to assisting many clients to become their greatest self.
